The Panther boys dominated on the track to turn the tables on the Black Tornado, 84-61. South Medford's boys won seven of the 10 running events. Folsom was victorious in the 100 and 300 hurdles, high jump and long jump. The senior lowered her state-best mark in the 300 hurdles from 47.04 seconds to 46.81. North junior Savannah Greenwade also accounted for victories in the 200, 400 and the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. In boys, senior Kaizer Gillispie paced the Panthers. Gillispie picked up individual wins in the 200, 400 and high jump and was part of the winning 4x400 relay team. GRANTS PASS, ROSEBURG SPLIT : At Grants Pass, Dustin Harrah and Zac Hannan registered impressive early-season marks to help the Grants Pass boys crush Roseburg, 106-39, in a SWC dual meet. In girls, Roseburg's Gabrielle Kearney posted a state-best mark in the javelin (154-7) as the Indians defeated the Cavers, 78-67. Harrah went 6-6 in the high jump to give the senior the second-best leap in the state, while Hannan ran the fourth-best state time in the 110 hurdles (15.58). CRATER SWEEPS EAGLE POINT : At Central Point, Crater's girls romped past Eagle Point, 90-38, while the Comet boys edged the Eagles, 76-69, in a Midwestern League dual meet at Dutch Meyer Field. The Comet girls won 13 of the 17 events. Crater senior sprinter Bailey Bascom accounted for three victories. In boys, Crater's Tanner Berklund was a double individual winner (100, 200) while Tyler Wanamaker registered victories in the 300 hurdles and pole vault for the Eagles. Boys Golf EAGLE POINT INVITATIONAL : At Eagle Point, Grants Pass took second place and Eagle Point third at the 12-team event at Eagle Point Golf Club. Tannon Rounsaville carded a 9-over-par 81 to lead the way for the Cavemen, who scored a 332 as a team, just five off the pace of winner Marist (327). Eagle Point’s Ethan DeVore carded an 81 and was backed by an 82 from Troy Jordan. Hidden Valley’s Austin Johnson tied for medalist honors with John Pollock of Marist at 75.
