Larry was born August 16, 1942 to Truman and Mildred McKune in Klamath Falls, Ore. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Korea as a combat photographer. He married Alida Collman November 26, 1971, and the couple moved to Ridgecrest, Calif. shortly thereafter. Larry worked at the China Lake Naval Base (NAWS) in California, and retired in 1995. In 2000 they moved to Central Point, Ore, and then to Medford in 2013. Larry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1976 and held the position of Secretary. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Alida May McKune of Medford; daughter,Valarie McKune of Medford; sons, Tracy McKune and Brian McKune of Ridgecrest, Calif.; grandchildren, Brooke Clinton of Medford, Thalia Castaneda of Ridgecrest, Calif., Bryan McKune of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and brothers, Ralph McKune and Lynn McKune of Klamath Falls, Ore. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at O'Hair Funeral Chapel, 515 Pine St, Klamath Falls. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills.
