4 arrested, 1 wanted in Dewclaw Archery burglary By Nick Morgan of the Mail Tribune Jul 18, 2019 05:34 PM A A Medford police have arrested four suspects and named a fifth accused of making off with more than $10,000 in merchandise from a Medford archery shop. Richard Anthony Aguiar, 37, is wanted on charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief for his alleged involvement in a May 18 smash-and-grab at Dewclaw Archery in which a cash register and eight compound bows were stolen, according to a news release issued by Medford police and a warrant filed Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court. Aguiar is described as 6-feet-2 and 420 pounds. Medford police ask anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 911 or nonemergency dispatchers at 541-770-4783. Four other suspects were arrested over the past week, records show. Two suspects, Jordan Eric Lee Cardenas, 22, and Christian Douglas Cochran, 23, face charges of aggravated theft, burglary and criminal mischief alleging they participated in the burglary with Aguiar. Two others, Brandi Rachel Shamblin, 31, and Jeremy Ryan Giblin, 25, each face a felony count of first-degree theft accusing them of selling the stolen bows, according to court documents. Giblin also was charged with possessing methamphetamine, failing to appear in court on a previous count of driving while suspended, and of violating his probation on a prior conviction for attempting to elude police in a vehicle. Medford police said they have recovered six of the eight stolen bows following “numerous” detective interviews and tips garnered from the agency’s Facebook page.
