The recipients were chosen from among 4,697 applicants. Eligibility criteria include financial need and merit, and students must attend an accredited, nonprofit college in their home state and be pursuing a bachelor’s degree full-time. The scholarship is renewable for each year of their undergraduate studies. The Ford Family Foundation was established in 1957 by Kenneth Ford, the owner of Roseburg Lumber, now called Roseburg Forest Products. Since 1994, the foundation’s scholarship programs have awarded students more than $146 million. The year's recipients include 110 from Oregon and 10 from Siskiyou County in California. Following is a list of the Rogue Valley students selected, their hometowns and high schools and colleges they plan to attend:  Ashland  —   Nora Honeycutt, Ashland High School, Oregon State University. Central Point  — Allissa Whiting, South Medford High School, Western Oregon University. Eagle Point  — Kayla Nielsen, Eagle Point High School, George Fox University. Grants Pass — Benjamin Dean, Grants Pass High School, Oregon State University; Kathrine "Ashley" Heeter, Hidden Valley High School, Western Oregon University; Randi Ann Martin, Hidden Valley High School, Rogue Community College; Bryanna Moore, Grants Pass High School, University of Oregon; Christien Roach, Grants Pass High School, Rogue Community College. Jacksonville  — Oshauna Schattler, South Medford High School, University of Portland. Medford  — Alejandro Valle, North Medford High School, Southern Oregon University; Rayna Zohar, South Medford High School, University of Oregon. Phoenix  — Katie Mena, Phoenix High School, Portland State University. White City  — Luis Sevilla, Eagle Point High School, University of Oregon.
