PUBLIC SAFETY DUII patrols ramp up for Super Bowl weekend Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Jan. 23, 2015 @ 2:10 pm Posted Jan. 23, 2015 @ 2:10 pm » Social News The Jackson County Sheriff's Department will have extra patrols on the roads on the hunt for drunk drivers on Super Bowl weekend. The agency reported the saturation will start Saturday, Jan. 31, and run through Sunday, Feb. 1. Department officials said the operation will be mostly funded with DUII grant overtime and will not detract from normal patrol functions. Police are urging motorists to not get behind the wheel if they plan on drinking alcohol, and to either have a designated driver or call a cab.
