Highway 99, Ashland. The festival continues with workshops, live music and more through Sunday, June 26. A weekend pass including camping and spa privileges costs $155 in advance, $165 at the door. Weekend passes without camping or spa entry are $90 in advance, $108 at the door. Day passes are $30 in advance, $35 at the door for Friday, and $35 in advance, $40 at the door for Saturday and Sunday. Schedules are available online at inlakeshfest.com . Horseback Archery Competition: The Rogue Mounted Archers will hold the third annual Worldwide Mounted Archery event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday June 24 through 26, 3554 E. Antelope Road, Eagle Point. Admission is free. The archers are riding hands-free as they gallop down the course firing arrows. A great spectator sport for all ages, modern mounted archery hearkens back to the ancient warriors of Genghis Khan. Some bleacher seating is available, observers may bring their own chairs as well. Book Sale: The Rooster Crow Fill-A-Bag book sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 24-25, at the Rogue River library, 412 E. Main St. Choose from a variety of titles and fill your bag for $3 per bag, or $2 per bag for Friends of the Library members. Southern Oregon Lavender Festival: Four farms on the Southern Oregon Lavender Trail will be open for the festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday, June 24-26. Admission is free. The focus of the 2016 festival is the culinary uses of lavender. During the festival weekend, the farms will feature culinary lavender delights along with artisan vendors, wreath-making, you-pick lavender bouquets, essential oil distilling demonstrations and other activities. Film Screening: Rich Swingle, who graduated from Phoenix High School in 1987, will be in Southern Oregon to screen "Providence," in which he plays one of the leads. Saturday, June 25 Humane Society Yard Sale: The Southern Oregon Humane Society will hold its annual yard sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at 2910 Table Rock Road, Medford. Any unsold items will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 26, with reduced pricing. Proceeds benefit the Saving Train Program. SoHumane volunteers are raising money to rescue 35 to 45 dogs from overcrowded shelters where healthy, adoptable dogs have been overlooked and have run out time. Rooster Crow: This annual event in Rogue River begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 25, with the Rooster Crow Run/Walk, followed at 10 a.m. by the Rooster Crow Parade downtown. Concessionaires and food booths are available all day in the Umpqua Bank parking lot. Parade winners are announced at the Rooster Crow arena at 2 p.m., and at 2:15 the Human Rooster Crow Contest kicks off. The main event begins at 2:45 p.m., when the roosters take center stage. Admission is $25 per person which includes three games of bowling, shoes and a breakfast buffet. Funds raised will support Southern Oregon autism workshops, provide camp scholarships and inclusive events for children and adults on the autism spectrum. Aircraft History Talk: Retired pilot, Navy commander and United Airlines captain Art Lumley will discuss the history of air travel in the Rogue Valley from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 25, at the Southern Oregon Historical Society History Center, 106 N. Central Ave., Medford. The free presentation ranges from a 1900 balloon launch to the future of Medford's airport. American Band College: Two major concerts will be presented by the 200 members of the American Band College master’s degree program of Sam Houston State University. Guitarist Humberto Flores, drummer Rosa Avila and bassist Leo Sherman round out the New York City ensemble. The group delivers a message of love, hope, brotherhood and social justice.
