Costco worker charged in bizarre shoplifting A third person has been arrested in an unusual shoplifting case in which an employee trying to stop the thief ended up in the getaway car. The third suspect was an employee at the Medford Costco store, where the theft occurred. Rodney Quinn Still, 32, of Grants Pass, has been arrested on charges of first-degree theft and conspiracy to commit first-degree theft, Medford police Lt. Tim George said. Still was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $20,000 bail. Based on the initial investigation, police allege that Still was active in planning the theft and would have benefited from receiving the stolen property. Police responded to the store last Thursday after an employee, Dale Blakely, ran after a woman he saw take three Sony PlayStations and two leather jackets through an emergency exit door. A man was waiting in a convertible by the side door with the engine running, and when Blakely tried to stop them, he ended up in the car as it was driven away. About a mile away, police caught up with the car carrying Blakely and the two suspects, Grants Pass resident Joe Merrle Farris, 27, and Selma resident Raelene Michele Monk, 22. Both were arrested on robbery and theft charges, and Monk also was arrested on an assault charge against Blakely. He suffered minor injuries.
