Bulldog Torres shines at Silver Gloves tourney OLATHE, Kansas - Javier Torres won his first bout at the National Silver Gloves championships. Boxing in the 12-13-year-old division, Torres, a fighter with Medford-based Bulldog Boxing, defeated Christopher Medina of Los Angeles. The fight was stopped in the second round. Torres, who won a National Silver Gloves title in 2000, meets Jason Locklear of Cleveland tonight in the semifinals.
