The Raider volleyball publication won top billing in both contests, and SOU also earned first-place honors for football and wrestling (CoSIDA) and womens tennis (NAIA). The Raider womens basketball, mens basketball and track and field media guides each finished among the top-three in one or both contests, and the athletics website (sou.edu/athletics) jumped from No. 18 among NAIA schools in 1998-99 to No. 3 this past year. In addition, Southerns full-color brochure cover design captured three CoSIDA first-place honors. Created by university graphic artist Greg Martin, the covers featured an artistic rendering of the red-tail hawk, the schools mascot.
