This method was used in Chapter IL
The keyboard is arranged, as shown below, in a one-octave, C through B' 12 note con{i0uration similar
to a piano keyboard. When notes are direclly entered by pushing the desired keys, the previously set
key signalure will be ignored. The keys are arranged over a range oi one octave, but ihe octave can
be raised or lowered bv the octave up and octave down keys, allowing noles to be entered anywhere
