Infrared cameras capture the plate, location, date and time of every vehicle 24/7 — day or night, at up to 100 mph. Independent testing (IPVM, 2021) found roughly a 1-in-10 error rate, and misreads have caused wrongful stops (see below), so vendor accuracy claims are contested. Source: Flock Safety / IPVM.
