A tracker of county-level responses in Florida following the FDOT order of 31 August 2026, current as of 4 September 2026.
DISCONTINUED ENTIRELY (15): Baker, Bay, Bradford, Brevard, Calhoun, Duval, Franklin, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Liberty, Putnam, Santa Rosa, Volusia, Wakulla.
SUSPENDED USE (9): Escambia, Flagler, Gadsden, Leon, Miami-Dade, Okaloosa, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter.
REMOVED FROM COUNTY RIGHTS-OF-WAY (7): Clay, Hernando, Lake, Palm Beach, Pasco, St. Lucie, Walton.
WHY THIS MATTERS MORE THAN THE STATE ORDER: the FDOT memorandum reaches only state highway rights-of-way. County roads and city streets are outside it. Every action above is therefore a voluntary local decision going beyond what the state required, which makes the cascade a larger development than the order that triggered it.
THE LIMIT THE TRACKER ITSELF STRESSES: Florida has not banned Flock cameras statewide. Privately owned cameras at homeowners' associations, gated communities, apartment complexes and shopping centres continue to operate regardless of any of these decisions.
