Tyler Robinson's preliminary hearing concluded its fifth and final day Friday, with his defense team calling its last witness before both sides rested. The defense called ATF Agent Samantha Karner to testify, with focus on ballistics evidence. Judge Tony Graf will now determine whether sufficient probable cause exists to move the case to trial. Robinson declined to testify on the final day after five days of proceedings. As prosecutors presented an enhanced video compilation showing moments leading to Charlie Kirk's assassination, his widow Erika Kirk and mother Kathy Kirk became visibly emotional. The two women cried and leaned into one another as the video played. Robinson did not appear to watch the video, keeping his monitor turned off. Judge Tony Graf denied the defense's motion to ban broadcast cameras but issued sanctions. He ruled that members of the media shall no longer capture or broadcast any exhibits displayed by the parties during the proceedings. Oral arguments are scheduled for September 1, 2026, at 10 a.m., when Graf will issue his probable cause decision.
