1. Does the project front the street (no parking between street and building) and have a m ain
entrance from that street? If y es, go to next question. If no the project does not qualify .
2. Does the project include a vertical m ix of uses (A single structure with the above floors used for
residential or office use and a portion of the ground floor for retail/com mercial or service uses6)?
If yes the project qualifies, if no go to next question.
3. Is the project located within ¼ m ile of higher density residential developm ent (SFR 10 or greater)
measured as actual walking distance from the nearest edge of the project and following the m ost
direct pedestrian (existing or proposed as part of the project) walkway ? If y es, go to the next
question. If no the project does not qualify .
4. Is there a com plete (or proposed as part of the project) pedestrian walkway between the project
and the residential developm ent re ferred to above? If y es the project qualifies, if no the project
does not qualify .
Step 5. Determine w hether the office or light industrial project counts towards meeting
the benchmarks (if the project qualifies go to Step 7).
