U CEO/Lackey Paul Kafasis, and we've got two exciting new products to tell you about! (Don't want to receive our newsletter? Click to unsubscribe instantly. It works!) JUST ARRIVED: LOOPBACK EFTA00629759 Just five days ago, we unveiled a brand-new application, Loo,)Duc It's a tool that makes it easy to pass audio from one application to another on your computer. With Loopback, you can create virtual audio devices to take the sound from applications and audio input devices, then send it to audio processing applications. Loopback makes it easy to arrange complex audio setups that were difficult or even impossible before. It's the power of a high-end studio mixing board, right inside your Mac! Loopback also makes a great companion for Audio Hijack. While both Loopback and Audio Hijack capture audio from applications and devices, they serve different purposes. With Audio Hijack, you can make a recording with the audio captured from input devices and apps, saving it to a file. With Loopback, you can grab audio from those same sources, input devices and apps, then pass it to another application. EFTA00629760 You can learn more from the Hon oos: announcing Loopback, as well as on the Loopback page. Loopback's regular price is $99, but through the end of January, newsletter readers (that's you!) pay even less - just $69! Use coupon code LBNEWS in our store to get Loopback for just $69! Macworld just gave Loopback a glowing 4.5 mice review. Nice! ROCK OUT WITH AIRFOIL SATELLITE FOR iOS EFTA00629761 We also recently shipped Airfoil Satellite for iOS, a brand-new (and entirely free!) iOS companion app for Airfoil. You can use it on your iOS devices - that's iPhones, iPads, and iPods Touch — to receive audio from a Mac or PC running AI, 10 . Airfoil Satellite replaces our previous iOS receiving application, Airfoil Speakers Touch. We recommend all Airfoil users on iOS 7 and later download Airfoil Satellite immediately. It features a thoughtfully -redesigned interface comprised of gorgeous retina-quality graphics. The app looks and works great on all modern devices, from a 3.5" iPod Touch to a gigantic iPad Pro. Read about Airfoil Satellite in our blog_post. Download Airfoil Satellite from the App Store. It's free! EFTA00629762 2015 IN REVIEW The year started off right, with perhaps our biggest software update yet, the release of Audio Hijack 3. Audio Hijack 3 is a huge leap forward for our audio recording tool, and it really has to be seen to be believed. Suffice it to say that if you've ever used Audio Hijack or Audio Hijack Pro, you should definitely have a look at Audio Hijack 3. Get more details and grab the free trial right from ocil LC'. You can also read February's very popular "Evolution of Audio Hijack" post, which details how we got to the final design for our new application. There are many pretty pictures to see, as well as some not-so-pretty ones. In March, I spoke at NS Conference 7 in Leicester, England. That talk, entitled "Feedback Driven Development" is now available online. It covers a lot of how we do things here at Rogue Amoeba, including listening to what users like you want. The summer saw two major updates to Audio Hijack 3, with rers o- 3 ' and version :.2. These updates brought back some features folks familiar with Audio Hijack Pro 2 had been missing, like the ability to pause, stop, or cut recording based on silence ("Silence Monitoring" ) as well as file actions for handling recordings after they've been made. There were also some major new features, including powerful changes to the Time Shift block to assist you when you're transcribing audio, as well as improving the processes for importing and exporting Sessions so you can share your Audio Hijack configurations with ease. We also unveiled a companion book for Audio Hijack, "Take Control of Audio Hijack", written by audio expert Kirk McElhearn. It's a great sidekick for Audio Hijack, sure to help you get the most out of our audio recorder. It offers detailed instructions for common tasks, as well as an in-depth look on some key features. Interested? Get details and a free sample of the book right here. When you're ready, you can purchase the book through our store. EFTA00629763 July featured a momentous occasion for perhaps one of our most recognizable employees. In fact, if you've written in for support in the past half-decade, its extremely likely you were assisted by our man Chris Barajas. We were delighted to celebrate his fifth anniversary with the company. Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) shipped on September 30th, and our software was ready when it did. You can always ensure you have our latest versions by choosing "Check for Update" right inside the app, or by downloading from In November, we :.(, Loi-c (1 our new designer, Neale Van Fleet. We were sad to see former designer Christa leave, but Neale picked up right where she left off. His first work could be seen just a month later, with some improvements he made to the aforementioned Airfoil Satellite. Much more is coming! EFTA00629764 We closed out the year with some incredible praise. The new Audio Hijack was selected as iMore's "Mac App of the Year", and we were tremendously honored. We followed that up by being awarded a Golden Apple from AppleVis and being included on several lists of ojc.p pt, 'or , . It's safe to say that Audio Hijack 3 is our most critically-acclaimed software release ever! If you haven't made time to cl pc t cc.: yet, or you still haven't upgraded from an older Audio Hijack, don't hesitate. That was 2015 for Rogue Amoeba. It was a darned good year!
