As part of our networking facility, the Institute holds an annual retreat which is strictly 'invitation-only' and which provides a unique blend of business and social activities that enable the forging of direct alliances. About The Retreat The Retreat is an annual meeting of approximately 60 senior members in the life sciences. The program is a combination of think-tank sessions and social activities and is developed under the guidance of our Board of Directors and Advisory Board whose combined experience and knowledge of the industry assists in shaping the content of the meeting and advising on the selection of people to attend. The think-tank sessions cover issues central to the development of the industry and provide an interactive forum for honest debate. Notably presentations do not feature in the event format and the meeting is closed to members of the press in order to promote an intimate environment where our members can participate in frank and open discussion. Social activities include golfing, sailing, soccer and a number of evening receptions which offer the opportunity to interact and network on a relaxed and social basis.
