Likewise, he currently leads the School of International Futures Intergenerational Fairness in Cities Community of Practice (IGF Cities CoP), advising global cities about how to embed long-term policymaking practices into their strategic thinking. He is also the Foresight Lead at the Odyssean Institute. James was one of the contributors to the design of the Global Foresight Network Future 50 Initiative, in his capacity as a Gl obal Sh aper. He currently manages the $25 million Solar for Apartment Residents (SoAR) program at the New South Wales Government, and has previously managedthe $8 million Marine and Coastal Research Hub at the Australian Government's NationalEnvironmental Science Program (NESP). This is in addition to several other consultancy roles to UN agencies such as UNESCO and UN Habitat.
