While the aim of this report is to offer a
comprehensive set of relevant and achievable
measures, it is important to recognize that
there is no single blueprint for strategic youth
integration. Each institution and initiative can identify
unique gaps in their own domains where youth
perspectives can add significant value.
At the World Economic Forum, flagship
programmes such as the Future50 Initiative by the
Global Foresight Network, are equipping emerging
leaders with the skills, networks and influence
necessary to embed long-term, intergenerational
perspectives into decision-making.In addition, the Forum’s Network of Global Future
Councils (GFCs), which serves as a leading
multistakeholder and interdisciplinary knowledge
platform, has onboarded 15 young experts and
youth advocates for the 2025-2026 term.
These initiatives are not designed out of tokenistic
inclusion goals; they are designed to ensure that
intergenerational insights are embedded in the
Forum’s approach towards future-proofing.
The core premise underpinning Future50 is the concept of
intergenerational foresight, an idea that we developed to
challenge the status quo of who gets to design the future.
Intergenerational foresight refuses the comfort of tokenism.
It expands authorship across generations and geographies,
dismantling inherited monopolies on imagination to replace
representation with co-creation, and prediction with plurality.
