--> --> Colts activate linebacker INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indianapolis Colts activated linebacker Donnell Thompson from the practice squad Saturday and waived kicker Doug Brien. Brien was signed last week to handle kickoffs in Monday night's game against Miami after Mike Vanderjagt strained a back muscle the week before at Baltimore. Thompson, a second-year player from Wisconsin who spent last season with Pittsburgh, has been on the Colts' practice squad all year. This is the first time he has been activated. The Colts have been thin at linebacker, with Mike Peterson out since Nov. 11 with a sprained right knee and Sean Harris, who was signed during training camp and was expected to be a key backup, on injured reserve. Starting middle linebacker Rob Morris also is questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta after having a concussion in the first half Monday night at Miami. Email your...
