Movie Theaters Ashland has two movie houses; the Varsity Theatre, built in 1937 and located downtown, and the Ashland Street Cinema, located at the south end of town in the Ashland Street Shopping Center. Medford has two smaller movie houses; Movies 5 and the South Side Cinema and the 15-theater complex, Tinseltown in the Medford Center.
