Over 100 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and 11 pounds of suspected fentanyl were confiscated during a traffic stop. Drugs Seized In Linn County At about 3:00 p.m. on August 26., an OSP K-9 unit stopped a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling northbound on the I-5 in a routine stop. An OSP trooper then noticed indicators of potential criminal activity, and a drug detection K-9 was deployed. The likely presence of illegal substances inside the vehicle was detected by the K-9 who alerted officers. 104.3 pounds of crystal methamphetamine on the back seat and 11 pounds of suspected fentanyl concealed under the back seat were found during a search. The authorities believe the drugs were on their way to the Seattle area. Carlos Antonio Zuniga Diaz, 40, and Sugey Padilla Sanchez, 40, both of North Las Vegas, Nevada- the vehicle’s occupants, were arrested. And face charges of possession and delivery of methamphetamine and fentanyl. After being taken into custody, both suspects were lodged at the Linn County Jail. All suspects are regarded as innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. As law enforcement agencies are working to determine the full extent of the drug trafficking operation, the investigation is still ongoing.
