The new application requests a two-story, 22,000-square-foot expansion. The agency is requesting the change because federal funding has decreased. Later, during the commission's regular meeting, the city is requesting an ordinance amendment that establishes minimum density requirements in R-2 (low density multi-family) and R-3 (high density multi-family) zoning districts. The request stems from the 2002 Affordable Housing Action Plan; the ordinance will prevent the multi-family zoned lands from being developed solely for single family homes. Also on the docket for the hearings board, tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. in council chambers: o A request for a conditional use permit to add a second story and balcony to the existing detached garage at 108 Seventh St. o A request for a conditional use permit to construct a new single-family residence at 150 Church St.; the proposed total floor area exceeds the maximum permitted floor area by 308 square feet. o Request for a conditional use permit to convert the existing residence at 659 Liberty Street into an accessory residential unit, while constructing a new 2 1/2 story 2,325 square foot residence at the rear of the property. Planned for the planning commission meeting, Tuesday at 7 p.m. in council chambers: o Final approval and tree removal permit to construct a mixed-use commercial building (ground floor retail, upper floor residential) and eight four-plex apartment buildings at 2205 Ashland St. o Requests for a permit for construction of a seven lot subdivision on a 1.75 acre plot at the southwest corner of the intersection of South Mountain Ave. and Prospect Street.
