At 6:40 p.m., a vehicle driven by Kirk Strait, 25, pulled in front of a car on Lithia Way at Third Street, nearly striking the vehicle, police officials said. The driver of the car, an Ashland man, honked his horn at the other vehicle. Strait became irate and attempted to drive the car off the road by moving back and fourth between the two lanes and shouting obscenities, police officials said. The other driver had two small children in his vehicle. Eventually, he was able to turn onto North Main Street and get away from Strait and called police. He was able to give police a description of Strait, the vehicle he was driving, and his license plate number. At 11:29 p.m., the vehicle was in front of Strait's home on the 400 block of Jennifer Street, police officials said. When Strait was contacted, he appeared to be visibly intoxicated, police officials said. He also had three outstanding warrants out of Washington County. He was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail in Medford. Ashland Police & Fire 12:49 a.m. Wednesday - Two men entered the 7-11 on Siskiyou Boulevard and stole an 18-pack of beer valued at $18. Both subjects fled on skateboards north on Siskiyou Boulevard. 11:47 p.m. Tuesday - A parked vehicle was struck by a U-Haul at the Super 8 Motel on Ashland Street. The U-Haul was last seen on Interstate 5. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $1,000. 9:57 p.m. Tuesday - A known subject who stole a 1999 Ford pickup valued at $17,000 from the 1500 block of East Main Street. 3:01 p.m. Tuesday - Ashland woman, 19, arrested for stealing $5.79 worth of pills from the Market of Choice on Siskiyou Boulevard. 1:25 a.m. Tuesday - Man, 30, arrested for possession of methamphetamine on the 300 block of A Street. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail in Medford.
