The man was upset that he had to apply for Citibank promotion to get a free sandwich, Subway parking lot, 300 block of Avery Street. Monday 8:57 p.m. - Three people attempting to break into a vehicle held at gunpoint by officers. One refused to comply, advanced and was taken to the ground by officers. He actively fought officers as a second suspect attempted to attack officers. Officers used a pepper spray-like weapon on the second suspect; the spray also hit the third suspect. A 22-year-old Talent man was charged with resisting arrest, harassment, attempted unlawful entry to a motor vehicle, criminal trespass and an outstanding warrant. He was taken to Jackson County Jail. A girl was cited for interferin and minor in possession of alcohol.
