Odom, who suffered a stroke in a Nevada brothel last month and has undergone a litany of medical emergencies since, is making progress in his recovery, but has a very long way to go before he's physically and mentally healthy. Kardashian says that while Odom is off of all life support machines , he still has to relearn how to walk and feed himself and construct sentences. "It's a long, long read ahead," she said. Khloe Kardashian's Kocktails With Khloe debut postponed Kardashian said that due to his cognitive disability, Odom still doesn't know why he's in the hospital or what happened to him. She said that they tell him he's had a brain injury, but not why or how, and he hasn't asked. His condition is day-to-day; some days he knows his birthday and who the President is, but other times he thinks he's 26 (he's 36). In a sweet moment, Kardashian told DeGeneres that he laughed while watching her show, which indicates that he's able to "smile and laugh at appropriate times." In the interview, Kardashian shows admirable poise while talking about the painful situation. "I love him and I've always loved him and that will never change," she said. While she still plans to go through with their divorce eventually, he needs her support right now and it would be "insensitive" to go through with the split. Khloe and Lamar aren't getting back together She's in a "unique situation" with her boyfriend, basketball player James Harden, who she says is understanding of the complicated situation. "I'm part of polygamy now," she joked, although DeGeneres noted that she would have to marry Harden to truly be polygamous. The full interview airs on Monday's Ellen . Watch the clip below.
