No burning is permitted in the air quality maintenance area Nov. 1 through the end of February. However, residents within that boundary must still call 776-7007 before burning to determine if it is a burn day. The area includes Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Medford, Central Point, Jacksonville, Eagle Point and a portion of the county. Open and barrel burning is prohibited year-round in Medford and Jacksonville.
