Anyone can drop by the Express Entry session between 5 and 7 p.m. Wednesday at the campus’ G Building, 117 S. Central Ave., Medford. School staff will be available to enroll people in a variety of general education and elective classes, such as art, history, government, computer science, physical education, theater and human development. The courses don’t require placement testing or previous college experience, so students can sign up and pay Wednesday and be ready to start class on Monday, said Mary Louise Doran, executive dean of the Riverside campus. Information and registration help for community education, English-as-a-second-language and GED classes also will be available. Phoenix interchange faces skepticism PHOENIX — Despite lingering skepticism over future access for some residents and business owners, City Council members Monday formally endorsed two of four alternatives for a $40.7 million rebuild of the failing Fern Valley Road interchange. Of four design alternatives — narrowed from as many as three dozen — Council members felt two alternatives showed the most promise.
