The Wood Brothers: Folk trio The Wood Brothers — upright bassist Chris Wood, guitarist Oliver Wood and multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix — perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, in the Music Recital Hall, 405 S. Mountain Ave., on the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland. Their newest albums, a studio recording titled "Paradise" and a live album titled "Live at the Barn," were released in 2015 and 2017, respectively, on independent label Honey Jar Records. Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center: The society presents a revolving lineup of chamber musicians of every instrumentation, style and historical period. This concert, titled "Vienna to Hollywood," features pianists Wu Qian and Juho Pohjonen, violinists Danbi Um and Sean Lee and cellist Mihai Marica. They will explore the musical connections of Schubert and Korngold at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, in the Music Recital Hall, 405 S. Mountain Ave., on the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland.
