Free Talk: There will be a free introductory talk by Matthew Schulman on Fascia Energetics from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Ashland Institute of Massage, 280 E. Hersey St. Suite A-8, Ashland. Fascia Energetics explores the idea that Chinese medicine meridians live within, and are components of, fascia. 'The Student Prince': Jackson County Community Concert Association presents Sigmund Romberg's 1920’s musical "The Student Prince" at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, and 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at Grizzly Peak Winery, 1600 E. Nevada St., Ashland. This operetta tells the story of Prince Karl Franz, fictitious heir to a kingdom, who is promised to wed in an arranged marriage but falls instead for barmaid Kathie while studying at the University of Heidelberg. Look for songs "Serenade," "Deep in My Heart" and the rousing "Drinking Song." The show stars Galen Schloming and Michelle Cipollone. Madeline Moeller directs. Piano accompaniment is by Ian McCarty.
