--> --> Mary Ann Catherine Mahoney Mary Ann Catherine Mahoney, 78, of Ashland died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 at her home. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001 at Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church, 987 Hillview Dr., Ashland. Rev. O.P. Gerald Buckley will officiate. Mrs. Mahoney was born Nov. 10, 1923 in Hazelton, Iowa to Leroy Mahoney and Mary Burnham Mahoney. She went to high school in Venice, Calif., graduating in 1942. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1946. She was married in Seattle, Wash., in 1948 to her former spouse Arlo Joseph Dehnert. She came to Ashland and Central Point in 1978. She worked with the Hospice Home Health Care until retiring December 31, 1994. She belonged to Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church in Ashland, Dominican Laity, The St. Vincent DePaul Society, Charismatic Prayer Group, and she was the editor of the "Hillhaven," the church newsletter. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Dehnert of California, and Christopher Dehnert of Scal Rock, Ore.; two daughters, Storyteller of Maui, Hawaii, and Mary Burris of Lorane, Ore.; two brothers, Ben Mahoney of Coos Bay., and Robert Mahoney of Niles, Mich.; a sister, Ella Anderson of Sun City, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Anneva, and two brothers, Andrew and Ira. Arrangements were carried out by Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory in Ashland.
