--> --> Museum gets spot on Lewis and Clark Trail ASTORIA - The Ilwaco Heritage Museum has landed a spot on the National Historic Lewis and Clark Trail. It's a recognition that makes it eligible for National Park Service grants for the upcoming Lewis and Clark Bicentennial. About 20 people gathered in the museum's lobby over the weekend for the dedication, including Chinook tribal chairman Gary Johnson. To qualify for a place on the National Historic Lewis and Clark Trail, a site has to be open to the public, tell some part of the Lewis and Clark story or allow people to retrace part of the trail.
