Main St., Ashland Street Cinema, 1644 Ashland St., and the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. The festival's lineup of films, performances and talks, along with tickets, show times and locations, are available online at ashlandfilm.org . Tickets also are available at the information kiosk on the Ashland Plaza. Tickets are $13, $12 for seniors and $6 for students. Karen Lovely Portland blues singer Karen Lovely and her band will perform a mix of contemporary and old-school blues at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, at RoxyAnn Winery, 3285 Hillcrest Road, Medford. Lovely shot onto the blues scene in 2010, placing second at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn., followed by three 2011 Blues Music Award nominations for best contemporary blues female artist, best contemporary blues album and best song. Doric String Quartet The British string quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 9, in the Music Recital Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus, 405 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland. The quartet's April 8 performance will feature Haydn's String Quartet in B minor, Op. 64 no. 2; Korngold’s String Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 26; and Beethoven’s String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132. The April 9 show will include Haydn’s String Quartet in G major, Op. 64; Janacek’s String Quartet, “Kreutzer Sonata"; and Schubert’s String Quartet in G major. Tickets are $33 or $38, $5 for students and Oregon Trail Card holders. Tickets are $20 for ages 19 through 35 at the April 9 show. 'Almost, Maine' Playwright John Caiani's collection of comedic and poignant vignettes is set in the allegorical town of Almost, Maine, and takes a look at love, loss, surprise — and aurora borealis. Next Stage Repertory Company will present the play at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Doug Warner directs. T Sisters with The Show Ponies Folk band T Sisters' original music touches on elements of folk, gospel, R&B, bluegrass and soul. T Sisters' debut album, "Bring Us Back," was independently released in 2012; in 2014, "Kindred Lines" was produced by Laurie Lewis on Spruce and Maple Music; and "Ready for Love," also on Spruce and Maple, was released in 2015. T Sisters will perform at 9 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Brickroom Gathering House, 35 N. Main St., Ashland. Los Angeles folk band The Show Ponies will open the show.
