--> --> What to do with `Nigerian Scam' I read with interest a front page news article on the "Nigerian Scam" and how someone in Medford got caught up in it. The interesting part is that neither the Tidings nor the Bank who was interviewed gave any suggestions to anyone about what to do should they receive any mail based on this "Nigerian Scam." You are right, they have been around awhile and there are many people out there who have been seriously hurt financially. Because I am a South African importer, I get these e-mails and letters all the time and not just from Nigeria. There are letters coming from other African countries, including South Africa. I forward all my emails and any other letters I receive to the FBI in Portland. Their address is Crown Plaza, 1500 SW First Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97201-5828, telephone is 503-224-4181. Send emails to Portland @FBI.gov. They have been known to respond with their appreciation. You can also call up the main Government FBI Offices in Washington D.C. and you will actually find a sub-title on their Web site entitled "Nigerian Scams."
