ASHLAND POLICE & FIRE 7:19 p.m. Monday - A mountain bike was recovered by police in the 1100 block of Oak Street. The Huffy brand bike is colored grey and teal, and stamped with a registration number for owner's identification. Monday - Between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. a Breakpoint brand mountain bike was stolen from an apartment located on the 2200 block of Siskiyou Blvd. Valued at $200, the bike featured an orange, silver and black color scheme. Monday - A Talent man reported his 1984 Toyota pickup had been stolen while parked near the intersection of California Street and E. Main Street The 2WD vehicle is valued at $900. License plate reads 2GP254. Police have no suspects or leads. Monday - An Ashland woman reported her wallet had been stolen, along with credit cards, $300 in cash, and identification. Investigation revealed that the woman's identification had been used to open a Qwest cellular phone account. Police are pursuing the ongoing investigation as an identity theft.
