Ashland bike swap set for April 15 Tuesday Mar 21, 2017 at 12:11 PM Local report The Ashland Community Bike Swap will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at The Grove, 1195 E. Main St. The 27th annual bike swap will provide a community venue for buying and selling working-condition bicycles and related equipment. Proceeds from the event fund bike safety education in the Rogue Valley. This event is sponsored by Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission, the Rogue Valley Transportation District, Jefferson Public Radio and Ashland's fire department, police department and Transportation Commission. People with items for sale can drop them off at The Grove between 5 and 7 p.m., Friday, April 14, and between 8 and 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15. Twenty percent of each sale, with a $100 cap, goes to benefit bicycle safety education. Admission into the swap is $1 per person. Kids under 5 are admitted free. Bicycle and equipment donations are tax-deductible. Donations will be accepted until April 7. Please call the APRC office at 541-488-5340 for more information or visit RVTD.org/bikeswap.
