--> --> Thanks to all who made the Peace Arch A special thank you to all those who made the trip up to the Peace Arch or to Quebec City to protest the FTAA. I wanted to go, but was unable to make it happen. I sincerely appreciate those who took the time and effort to be there. Each one of you represented hundreds of others who feel the same way you do about these ongoing secret trade agreements, which serve the interests of large corporations at the expense of everyone else. Of course the media covered the actions for as short a time as possible (protests have been ongoing in Quebec for over a month) and showed mostly young people dressed in black in their effort to marginalize the movement. The owners of these media networks, after all, stand to benefit from increased opportunities to exploit to poorest, most vulnerable people in the world. There are, however, other sources for news. To get the real story about what happened at the Peace Arch, Quebec, and around the world, visit indymedia.org. Thanks again to all those who made it clear that we will not accept the corporate path to globalization. Jason Clark Ashland Email your...
