Here are the highlights: Hillary and Bernie : The cold open was the show's final opportunity to take on the presidential election until the fall, They could have gone the way of Trump, but instead the SNL gang -- and David -- chose instead to zero in on the battle between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders , who resolve their barroom sparring with an odd waltz-ballet hybrid. Now, if the real Clinton and Sanders could settle their differences with a little pas de deux , the world (of Democrats) would be a much happier place. New Girlfriend: Michael (Sudeikis) introduces his new girlfriend Regine (Armisen) to his friends in this hilarious skit, taking annoying couple behavior to new heights. Regine criticizes the champagne and the conversation as Michael shows his pals how he can arouse his lady by kissing her neck, blowing in her ear or rubbing behind her knee. Vanessa Bayer and Aidy Bryant break, and you'll never look at guacamole the same way again. Finest Girl : The Lonely Island returned to SNL with a Digital Short that teases Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, their feature film hitting theaters this summer. Conner 4 Real (Samberg) has a new girlfriend who wants him to "f--- her like the U.S. f---ed Bin Laden." That's the entire, not-so-topical joke of the nonetheless catchy song "Finest Girl." The Harkin Brothers : The absurdity of this skit is simple enough: Everyone in Studio 8H (including David, Sudeikis, Samberg, Brownstein and Rudolph) performs the fiction song "Summertime in Fayetteville" in character as a Allman Brothers-type Southern fried rock band. The lyrics are repetitive enough that you can just look around and marvel at all the famous people wearing funny wigs and clothing. What did you think of the season finale?
