--> --> Search crews looking for missing man Ashland Daily Tidings Search teams are looking for a 70-year-old Medford man believed to be lost near Mount Ashland. John Seymour Winslow, a six-foot tall man with gray hair, a gray beard and blue eyes, was reported missing to the Medford Police Department at about 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He was last seen wearing a red peaked hat and possibly an olive drab windbreaker. He left his home at about 1 p.m. on Tuesday, and his vehicle was located at the intersection of Mt. Ashland Road and Colestin Road at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. The search was called off for the night at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and was scheduled to resume at 9 a.m. today. Officials said they are concerned about Winslow's welfare because he suffers from mild dementia and because of cold temperatures during the night. Those participating in the search include the Jackson County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue, the Civil Air Patrol, the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Department and various U.S. Forest Service groups.
