Damage estimated at $400. 10 a.m. Thursday - A car stereo valued at $200 reported stolen from a vehicle on Auburn Street. 9:30 a.m. Thursday - A car stereo valued at $80 reported stolen from a pickup truck on the 500 block of Allison Street. 9:30 a.m. Thursday - A car stereo valued at $150 and two piggy banks with $150 in cash reported stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of Ohio Street. 8 a.m. Thursday - A car stereo valued at $300 reported stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of Union Street. 1:21 a.m. Thursday - Ashland Police responded to an alarm at the chemistry building at Ashland High School. When they arrived, they found an open window and discovered two Ashland boys inside the building stealing chemicals. Police officials said it was not known why they were stealing chemicals. One was arrested for theft, burglary, having a knife and being in possession of burglary tools. The other boy was arrested for burglary and theft. Both were lodged at the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Hall. Thursday - The Ashland Public Library reported a rock broke a rear window valued at $100.
