--> Federal aid for apple growers now available Ashland Daily Tidings Oregon apple growers needing help in offsetting their economic losses can begin signing up today for federal assistance. While the deadline has not yet been announced, eligible apple producers must have produced and harvested apples during the 2000 crop year, and not have received other federal program assistance for any losses they may have incurred. Last year's program distributed a $2 million cash infusion to apple farmers throughout the state.
