The program will include a cappella performances, along with songs backed by instrumentalists Kevin Carr, Bryan Jeffs and Nils Olo Soderback. Looks for music from around the globe — Sweden, Jamaica, South Africa, Turkey, Ireland and the Republic of Macedonia, performed in 10 languages. There also will be a May Day procession and dances from around the world. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased online at rogueworldmusic.org . Tickets will be $20 at the door. Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre The Mexican folk dance troupe will present its 18th annual Gala Dance Spectacular — a two-hour show featuring 30 dancers performing colorful folk dances from the Aztec tradition and the states of Sinaloa, Colima, Guerrero, Chihauhau, Guanajuato, Campeche, Veracruz and Jalisco — at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Central Medford High School, 815 S. Oakdale Ave., Medford. Rachel Ciddio will present ranchera-style songs. Souvenirs, snacks and soft drinks will be available. Tickets are $12, $8 for seniors and students. Warren G Rapper and hip-hop producer Warren Griffin III will perform Saturday, May 21, at the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. Eddy P. and Them Bama Boyz will open the show. Early in his career, Warren G formed a group with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg, but the project ended when the latter two members signed with Death Row Records. G's break came when he collaborated with Mista Grimm on the soundtrack for 1992 film "Poetic Justice," starring Janet Jackson. Tickets for the Ashland show are $25 in advance and can be purchased online at liveatthearmory.com . Tickets will be $30 the day of the show. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Hearts Gone South From Asheville, N.C., Hearts Gone South — Tricia Tripp on vocals, Mick Glasgow on bass, Joel Jackson on lead guitar and Derrick Spivey on drums — will crank out tear-soaked ballads and dance tunes at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Johnny B's, 120 E. Sixth St., Medford, and 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Peace of Pizza, 15090 Highway 238, Applegate. Portland rhythm guitarist Zach Bryson will join the band, and country and honky-tonk band Southbound will open the shows. Admission is $5 at Johnny B's; $5 to $10 at Peace of Pizza. Jessica Fichot The singer draws from her French, Chinese and American heritage to create a fusion of French chanson, '40s Shanghai jazz, Gypsy swing and world folk. Fichot plays accordion and toy piano and will be accompanied by Los Angeles musicians Robby Marshall on clarinet and sax, Antoine Salem on guitar and Michael Papillo on upright bass at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the Old Siskiyou Barn. Fichot's albums include "Le Chemin" in 2007 and "Le Secret" in 2012. Her newest, "Dear Shanghai" in 2014, is sung entirely in Mandarin and celebrates her mother's hometown. Tickets are $10 to $25.
