Bad music expert Polish has combed the world and the internet for an all-new collection of amazingly bad songs. Bernie Sanders, Bill Cosby, Elvis Presley, Tammy Faye Baker, Buddy Hackett, Jayne Mansfield, Soupy Sales, Sarah Silverman and more fill the program's two hours of music that defies categorization. Jen Ambrose debuts 'Tidal Wave' Singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist Jen Ambrose and Polyphonic Symphony will debut her new album, "Tidal Wave," at 9 p.m. Friday, April 1, at The Haul, 121 S.W. H St., Grants Pass. Polyphonic Symphony is bassist Richard Cole, Andy Pimentel on keys, drummer Matthew Kriemelman, violinist Willie Warwick, electric guitarist Sunny Erikson, Al Brinkerhoff on lap steel slide guitar, and Randy Sherer, Will Scharen and Gordon Greenley on horns. The music is a range of blues, rock, jazz, country and soul. Verbs and Nouns will open the show. Ashland Co-Dependent Film Festival The Bad Film Society hosts its annual Ashland Co-Dependent Film Festival at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 3, in the basement of the Ashland Elks Lodge. The main feature is "If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do?" Based on preachings of the Rev. Estus Pirkle from Mississippi, the film warns Americans to give up depraved activities such as watching Saturday-morning cartoons, dancing and going to drive-in movies. Trailers for filmmaker Ron Ormond's exploitation moves will be shown before the feature film, along with two rare shorts, "Pages of Death," about dirty magazines and crime, and "Red Nightmare," about communism. Visitors should enter the lodge through the entrance on Will Dodge Way, between East Main Street and Lithia Way. Bring a dish to share for the potluck dinner along with any bad DVDs, tapes or books you want to give away or trade. Admission is $4. Hip-Hop Poetry Open Mics The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will host hip-hop and poetry open mics at 7 p.m. Mondays, April 4 and May 9, in the Black Swan Theatre on the OSF campus, 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland. Hip hop artist, actor, poet and educator Dahlak Brathwaite will be featured April 4. Brathwaite launched onto the national scene by winning the Brave New Voices international poetry slam. He has performed on PBS' "Tavis Smiley Show" and HBO's "Def Poetry Jam." Admission is free. Schneider Museum of Art "In Scene," an exhibit of video, installation, sculpture and photograms that explore the state of the natural world, will open with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the Schneider Museum of Art, near the intersection of Siskiyou Boulevard and Indiana Street, on the Southern Oregon University campus, Ashland. The exhibit includes work by eight artists: Laura Heit, Rashawn Griffin, Adam Bateman, Jessie Sugarmann, M.K. Guth, Tannaz Farsi, Anna Daedalus and Kerry Davis. Daedalus and Davis will present "Water Shadows," a series of large-scale photograms made at ten sites along the Columbia River. Admission is $5.
