January 08. 2015 11:40AM Mt. Ashland gets $28,000 gift The Mt. Ashland Association has received a $28,000 donation from a California tech company. Lam Research Corp., a Fremont, Calif.-based supplier of equipment and services for semiconductor manufacturers, gave the gift as part of an employee matching-gift campaign, the association reported. The donation is a 2-to-1 match of a gift made by a Lam Research employee who grew up skiing at Mt. Ashland with her family, but wishes to remain anonymous. This gift comes on the heels of Mt. Ashland's December crowdfunding campaign, which netted $15,490. Over the past two years, the association that operates the ski hill has  brought in nearly $850,000 in donations for ski area improvements and youth programs, it reported. Mt. Ashland Association is planning improvements to the lodge, additional terrain park features and more events. There are also plans to re-launch the Mt. Ashland Ski Bus as the “Mt.
