--> --> District 5 board signs papers for fire station site Ashland Daily Tidings TALENT - Officials at Jackson County Fire District No. 5 celebrated today after signing paperwork making the property at 5811 S. Pacific Hwy. the new site for the district's new fire station. Late this morning, members of the District 5 board of directors closed on the property, passing it into the hands of the district, which has been working on buying the property for the past year. "We've been working on acquiring the land for the past year and the time is here for the closing, so yeah, we're excited," District 5 Chief Dan Marshall said.
