Bruce Neswick: The organist and canon musician at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland will perform on 36-rank Balcom and Vaughn pipe organs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, in the Music Recital Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus, 405 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Neswick served as director of music at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. His program includes works by Saint-Saens, Bach, Franck, Scheidemann, Hancock, and Howells, as well as an improvisational work. Admission is free. A reception will follow the concert. Ashland International Folk Dancers: The group meets every Friday at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way, for dances from Eastern and Western Europe, Greece, Scandinavia, Israel, Turkey and the Middle East. The fair provides an opportunity for schools and school districts across Oregon to meet and interact with SOU students and soon-to-be graduates regarding job opportunities within the field of education. 5K Fun Run: The "Don't Be Fooled" 5K Fun Run/Walk and Race begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at the corner of Nutley Street and Winburn Way in Lithia Park, Ashland. Proceeds help fund the Ashland Middle School travel costs for their trip to Washington D.C. Admission is $20 (with no t-shirt) and $25 for entries on the day of the race.
