Adelante! Gallery closing by end of month "Oregon Coastal Magic" by Cynthia Wolf, photography on metal. Wednesday Aug 17, 2016 at 7:04 PM Aug 17, 2016 at 7:04 PM Local report Sixteen years after its founding, the Adelante! Gallery is moving on out of its current space and on up onto the web. The timing of the switch to cyberspace didn't come as a result of a decision by gallery owner and artist Cynthia Wolf, but rather on recently receiving notice that her rented space, adjacent to Starbucks at 130 E. Main St., has been sold, and the gallery would have to move out. So Adelante has announced it is hosting a "Help Us Celebrate Our Move" summer party and gallery sale, including savings on all art, from paintings to sculpture to ceramics, plus gallery fixtures. The sale started Wednesday and continues daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Saturday, Aug. 27, when the gallery closes its brick-and-mortar doors for the last time (at that location, anyway) at 4 p.m. Art and wine events are set for two Saturdays, Aug. 20 and Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wolf says the gallery is moving "into the 21st century" with an expanded online store. The current gallery exhibit features work by Clive Tyler, Nancy Smith, Michael Swearngin, Terry Frosini and Wolf. Adelante! Gallery started in 2001 in Oklahoma City and at the same time Wolf opened Adelante! Gallery & Tea House in Ashland in 2010 with her daughter, Alicia Wolf.
