--> --> June 29: Pilots extend streak with pair of wins Ashland Daily Tidings MEDFORD - The Ashland American Legion team continued to roll over A league opponents with a doubleheader sweep of Phoenix Thursday at Miles Field. The Pilots cruised to a 9-0 win in the opener and then won 5-1 in the nightcap. Ashland (8-1-1) has now won eight straight games. Ryan Decker and Titus Weston were the stars in the opener as they combined to limit Phoenix to three hits. Decker picked up his first win of the year after striking out seven through five innings. Weston and Charles Dotterer each had three hits in the opener, while Bill Rowe, Cameron Meeks, Jayson Schroeder and Zach Miedecke contributed doubles. In Game 2, Kyle Puderbaugh and Meeks combined to give up five Phoenix hits and a lone run. Ashland returns to action Saturday, hosting Eagle Point in a noon doubleheader at North Mountain Park.
