--> --> A vote for Purdy For the new circuit court judgeship in Jackson County, Bill Purdy is my choice. I am supporting Bill not only because of his depth of commitment to the law or his successful record in mediations, but also because of his ongoing commitment to community service. If you missed the article in the Mail Tribune, March 15, 2002, the state bar association honored Bill Purdy for his many hours of free legal service serving the poor, which he continues to offer. I appreciate Bill's genuine concern for people; I believe this quality will enable him to serve the court in a humanitarian and expeditious manner. Kathy Gordon Medford Hair-raising poll raises hackles You, among all editors, had the audacity to run a poll on City Council members hair-do's - and I'm struggling to maintain health and income problems, plus just living with the turmoil coupled with public school problems, a solution to affordable housing, the e-coli in Ashland Creek and the continued avoidance of anger management problems within our Police Department, the "war" that is not a "war" and you're asking me to take time out of my life and judge hairstyles of City Council members?
