This third iteration of the national movement focused on executive authority, civil liberties, and honed in on war powers and military escalation . Starting out with at least 14 neighborhood-level visibility events, participants eventually converged on the downtown waterfront, despite the Appeals Court having paused Portland ICE’s tear gas restrictions . While official numbers are not yet available, observers said the crowd was in the tens of thousands, stretching across major bridges like the Burnside and Steel bridges. Following reports of property damage to a security gate and objects thrown at federal officers, police declared an unlawful assembly. The gathering remained peaceful, with a heavy presence from advocacy groups like ORD2 Indivisible. Although the majority of the crowd focused on themes of democratic accountability and reproductive rights, the event also saw visible participation from motorists expressing opposing viewpoints.
