--> --> UO Homecoming has anniversary theme EUGENE - Two anniversary celebrations, an all-Greek reunion, Duck football and academic offerings will mark a special Homecoming 2001 celebration at the University of Oregon today through Saturday. Homecoming marks the official start of celebrations honoring the 125th anniversary of the founding of the University of Oregon and the culmination of a year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of Greek life at the university. The year-long celebration of the University of Oregon's 125th anniversary begins Friday with a 3 p.m. block party and street fair featuring music and food, along East 13th Avenue. UO schools and colleges also are hosting alumni events through the weekend. · The School of Law's alumni weekend features continuing legal education classes, an alumni reception Friday and a Saturday tailgate party, as well as the third annual Foster Fun Run/Walk. For information, call 541-346-1344. · The School of Journalism and Communication is offering a public lecture by Jim Van Leuven, UO endowed chair in public relations, at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Room 120 in the Chambers Electronic Media Center at Allen Hall, 1020 University St. School alumni also will be feted at a reception Friday evening and at a tailgate party prior to Saturday's game.
